Since 1971, Ozark Natural Foods has been a community anchor point for Fayetteville, AR. They reached out to BLK ELK to highlight local farmers in the area—an initiative that ties back to their ongoing commitment to providing good food grown locally.

The initial concept for the project comprised a tour of multiple local farms. However, one narrative began to take center stage and the project evolved into a mini-documentary that centered on a family with nine generations of history farming on land next to the Buffalo National River.

The BLK ELK crew spent an initial day getting to know the family and its history as well as scouting locations on the farm and surrounding areas. This front-end deep dive enabled our crew to capture compelling footage and interviews that would do justice to the deep family history.

In addition to being shared on the client’s social platforms, the film would go on to tour in several small film festivals.
